Accounting 2410 –Intermediate accounting II required a financial analysis report to be completed. We were to choose any company from The New York Stock Exchange. I chose Abercrombie and Fitch for my financial analysis. This project was helpful in order to evaluate real situations. I was able to put my accounting skills together and realized how much I learned and how useful my accounting skills can be. I enjoyed putting this report together and being able to see where a company stands on financial health. This project has taught me the importance of calculating ratios, what the meaning of ratios really is and how powerful it can be in order to evaluate any company. I now realize how significant the analysis can be for creditors, investors, management and regulatory authorities. For my future goals in accounting, I will be able to use financial analysis reports, know when to use them and the meaning of them. I can also use the skills I learned in my Accounting 2410 class in my personal financial life.
